Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: 

Cancelling 1 week prior from the workshop date 
To be eligible for a refund or store credit, 1 week notice is required by email (yanas.ceramics@gmail.com) to inform that you are unable to make the workshop
If you are unable to attend session 2 of the workshop, you will be rescheduled at a future workshop date. 
Cancelling between 1 week and 48 hours from the workshop date 
Store credit or digital voucher will be provided, or you can reschedule for a future workshop date. 
Cancelling under 48 hours from the workshop date 
Understandably your plans can change and you may be unable to make the workshop. Due to the high preparation, planning of the workshops, as well as high popularity of the event you will not be eligible for a refund or store credit.
If you are unable to attend session 2 of the workshop, you will be rescheduled at a future workshop date. 

Shipping Policy

Upon your second session of the workshop, you are given the choice for free pickup at The Ceramic Studio or $10 shipping. 

Please allow 1 month for your piece to be finalise and ready for shipment or pick up 

Pick up at The Ceramic Studio 

You will receive an email regarding the pick up of your piece. Head towards the front desk to speak to one of the staff, say you are picking up a mug from Yana’s Ceramics workshop under the name ‘x,’ and the staff will help you from there! 

Delivery 

You will recieve an email regarding the shipment of your piece. 

Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions:

  • Those under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian. If a parent or guardian does not wish to create with the activity, a $20 studio fee must be paid. Please email yanas.ceramics@gmail.com to inform. If the parent or guardian wishes to be involve in the activity, they must book a spot too at a cost of $125
  • Unfortunately working with ceramics, nothing is guaranteed. Due to the handmade nature of ceramics, sometimes your idea may not reflect the outcome you wished for. For example, the shape of your  piece may warp, piece may shrink, application of paint appears different, cracking and worse case scenario your piece may explode during its firing
  • Refunds will not be provided if you do not like your piece,  your piece warps, piece shrinks, piece cracks and application of paint appears different and if it is not food safe. 
  • Your health and safety is always a number 1 priority, your pieces are carefully inspected to check food safety. If your piece is deemed not food safe you will be informed
  • In the unlikely case that your piece explodes in multiple pieces, you will receive a $20 refund for your mug.

About The Organiser 

Hello!

The Make A Mug Friend Workshop is independently owned and hosted by Yana Margaux, otherwise known as Yana’s Ceramics on instagram! 

By attending one of my workshops, you are supporting a small business owner! I started ceramics in 2021 as a curious hobby and overtime it became a beloved business. At the end of 2024 I had transformed my focus from making ceramics and selling them, to now teaching the craft! 

When you attend one of the workshops you will be guided by myself throughout the 2 sessions! I love to socialise with everyone at the workshops and create a fun and creative space for all! 

About The Event 

The workshops are hosted in a hired out space at The Ceramic Studio in Indooroopilly Brisbane. This is a shared space which will be accompanied by customers from The Ceramic Studio. The workshops are a fun and creative experience where attendees will learn how to make a mug. Additionally, it is a great social space to meet with new people and be inspired by others.
